About Millport Construction Inc.

Michael founded Poulson General Contracting in the Bay area in 1999. Michael and his crew developed a specialty in foundations, lifting houses and enlarging the craw space to a full basement. His company quickly became known for staying on budget, completing jobs on time and having a strong crew that worked together like a family.

Moving to the North County of San Diego, in 2000, Michael brought with him his crew and family. The company changed it's name to Millport Construction Inc. and continued to make clients their first priority. Having in-house employees is one of the ways that Millport keeps costs down and completes jobs quickly.

Our staff is compiled of professional people who are educated in the building field. We have an environmental engineer from UC Berkeley whom has worked in the asbestos industry writing safety procedures and protocols, who can test for mold. Our supervisors have worked the shipyard and construction fields in Seattle, Long Beach, San Francisco, and San Diego. Our depth of knowledge is extensive in the building industry.

Millport is an in-house company. Our crew does all of the work from demolition to finished carpentry. We oversee every aspect of the building process. Our framers are known for their superior conventional framing techniques and are artisans in the trade. By not subcontracting the major portion of work we keep our costs down. We always provide quality work at below market prices.

We work with the owner on every step of the construction process. We oversee all stages of design, drawings, permits, construction building and finished work. We have experience in government contracts, US navy contracts, residential and commercial jobs.

All of our subcontractors are licensed, bonded, insured and have worked with Millport Construction for a minimum of 7 years. We build relationships because of the quality of our work, completing jobs on time and always staying within the estimated budget. The majority of our work comes from client referrals, because satisfied customers are always the best advertisements.
